JOB PURPOSE:
Manage the Infrastructure, Energy, Utilities, Compliance and improvement projects and initiatives for Ice cream warehouses in Turkey. This role will also be responsible for Capex estimates, Detail Engineering and leading E2E execution of these work stream and any future Logistics Engineering Projects of Turkey Ice cream business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the engineering projects and work with site team for process upgrade, efficiency improvement.
Develop project plans, timelines and budgets for logistics initiatives.
Coordinate and execute projects to enhance the efficiency of warehousing, transportation and distribution processes.
Follow up all capital expenditure(Capex) process
Identify opportunities for process improvements within the logistics and supply chain functions and potential risks in logistics projects and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, Operations and IT, to ensure seamless project execution.
Communicate project updates, milestones and challenges to stakeholders at all levels.
Lead all types of machinery and building based projects in the Warehouses by following related Local & Unilever Technical Standards and implement projects with his/her team in line with Safety & Quality procedures.
Establish convenient periodic & preventive maintenance programs for new equipment. Also organize related corrective actions for new launched machines if needed
Follow up all “Third Party” related supporting jobs beside main project execution.
Lead all project related employees in terms of Safety, Health, Environment based issues.
Implement contingency plans to ensure project timelines and deliverables are met.
Responsible to make analysis and compare warehouses to capturing further efficiencies.
Discussing & challenging business growth for needed capacity.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS:
You’re a born leader: Leads technology, capital, innovation, capacity, and value improvement projects in the Ice Cream category. Responsible for providing estimates, options assessment, and technical support for these projects. Carries out tasks related to project assessment, technical support and implementation with minimum supervision. Ensures compliance with Unilever equipment and safety standards, specifications, and best practices. This shall include process/equipment evaluations, industrial trials, preliminary engineering, project cost controls, timeline, establishment of commissioning plan, plant/equipment commissioning
You’re a change maker: Our success is dependent on change, and the
Engineering Manager role is a critical contributor to driving improvements against all business metrics (safety, technology, quality, finance, etc).
You’re a dot connector:Communication with all key stakeholders (departments) to ensure full alignment with project scopes, timelines, impact and key project milestones.
• 5+ years’ experience in Logistics Warehouse Engineering / Project Engineeringand Management with FMCG experience strongly preferred.
• Experience of Ammonia refrigeration, Utilities, Ice cream Warehousing
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a people or project management role.
• Professional engineering skills
• Experience in Project Delivery and managing project budgets.
Preferred
• Firsthand experience / track record of delivering major (€Multi Million) capital projects within Unilever or similar FMCG environment

As publicly announced, Unilever will separate its Ice Cream business which is expected by the end of 2025. This role will transfer to the new Ice Cream company.
