Scope: Full-time

Reports to: Senior Manager Impact & Assurance

Location: Warsaw

JOB PURPOSE:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Impact & Assurance Assistant Manager has an opportunity to be part of the team that is responsible for the delivery of Unilever’s Sustainability goals – working on identifying and introducing metrics, tools, systems, and processes to measure, monitor, report, and verify sustainability programs.  In this role, you will be exposed to experts in many sustainability fields and have the chance to work in a large & committed team. 

Manage sustainability data

Support Impact & Assurance Managers and BOS Team to implement tools, systems, and processes for measuring, monitoring, and verifying sustainability impact metrics.

  • Manage and maintain impact data repositories and databases.

  • Manage reporting processes for program impact metrics to ensure consistent and trusted data is available internally.

  • Be an escalation point for issues relating to data & impact metrics. Resolve reporting problems in collaboration with UniOps business partners and IT outsourced parties related to the SuSo system or Power BI.

  • Conduct descriptive and predictive data analysis and derive insights for decision making – working closely with Business Operations, Business Groups, Brands, and Procurement stakeholders to understand their need and determine how data can be used.

Corporate Sustainability Reporting

  • Coordinate and support the drafting, evidence gathering and submission of external-facing reports and scorecards, including but not limited to Supplier Scorecards, CDP, WBA.

  • Review questions, content and scoring methodology to ensure drafted content is appropriate, succinct and meets the style and content requirements of the report.

  • Work with Global Reporting & Comms Teams to ensure Unilever’s webpages accurately report on our metrics and meet requirements for reporting and transparent disclosure.

  • Conducting pre-assurance checks on evidence and data against set criteria.

Manage the financial and contracting processes of the Impact & Assurance team

  • Coordinate and manage Purchase to Pay Process – from new vendor creation, purchase request/order creation, goods receipt to payment.

  • Managing the team budget – including tracking and forecasting

  • Co-ordinate the Impact & Assurance team’s administration, including internal reporting, tracking contracts, knowledge management/storage, and co-ordinating team initiatives.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS :

  • 3-5 years of experience, ideally in roles involving:

  • Data management and quantitative and qualitative reporting, ideally in sustainability

  • Project management

  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills

  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Power BI, Excel, SharePoint, OneDrive, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to work independently and across virtual teams

  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and storytelling skills

Preferred

  • Experience of working in large and cross-functional teams

  • Financial or budget management

SKILLS :   

  • A background and/or interest in sustainability, including agricultural, climate, and social sustainability

  • Strategic influencing
