JOB PURPOSE:
The SSHE Coordinator will serve as the primary point of contact for all Security, Safety, Health, and Environment (SSHE) matters within the Go to Market segment of Eastern Europe, with being the security point of contact within the Europe team. This role encompasses oversight of the Distribution Centre, Refrigerated Vans, and office environments across the Northern and Eastern countries of EE markets. The SSHE Coordinator will be responsible for providing leadership and practical support in driving the Security and SHE agenda, with a strong focus on ensuring appropriate SSHE risk management is in place at all sites under their responsibility, achieving Zero Harm in Safety and zero Category 1 incidents in Environment. A key area of focus will be office security throughout the region.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
SSHE Point of Contact: Act as the main SSHE representative for the Distribution Centres, Refrigerated Vans, and Office locations in said countries of Eastern Europe.
Provide security expertise covering said countries of Eastern Europe office security, Distribution centre security, transport security, and a focus upon regional security environments:
Develop knowledge and use of provided online security intelligence products
Maintain a wider view of the security environment in Europe while focusing upon Eastern Europe
Support the Regional SSHE Lead in driving the security agenda for new office selection and opening
Work closely with Workplace colleagues to ensure office security measures are implemented
Provide security support to the Regional SSHE lead for the wider European region
SSHE Agenda: Drive the SSHE agenda, ensuring alignment with the company's goals of Zero Harm in Safety and zero Category 1 incidents in Environment.
Drive SSHE agenda aligned with Zero Harm goals.
Undertake SSHE training and certification.
Maintain SHE system for compliance.
Manage daily SHE activities (risk assessment, action management, reporting).
Conduct audits for compliance and improvement.
Complete SHE reporting and data analysis.
Support and coach management on SHE practices.
Develop wider SHE skills through training and experiential learning to monitor, report, and provide leadership in:
Implement and monitor road safety initiatives.
Ensure safety measures in distribution centers.
Apply office safety guidelines and assess event safety.
Ensure compliance with SSHE regulations and policies.
Develop and deliver SSHE training programs.
Lead SSHE incident investigations and reporting.
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
SKILLS:
Excellent computer and literacy skills.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Fluency in English & Polish.
EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a SSHE role (Security, Safety, Health, Environment) preferably within the supply chain or logistics sector.
Demonstrable experience in at least 2 SSHE functions including security as part of any previous SSHE role.
Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, security, risk management, or a related scientific field. (Alternatively, a degree or certification from a police or military academy demonstrating expertise in security).
ASIS PSP or CPP certification, or formal qualifications from an international organization or NGO (e.g., UN, EU, OSCE).
In-depth knowledge of security practices and techniques specific to logistics and office environments in Eastern Europe.
Familiarity with SSHE regulations and best practices.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
As publicly announced, it is envisaged that Unilever will internally separate its Ice Cream business by July 2025, at which point this role will transfer to the new Ice Cream company. It is expected that the Ice Cream business will then separate from Unilever by the end of 2025. Any impact on terms and conditions of employment will be communicated in due course. This proposal is subject to consultation where legally required.
