JOBPURPOSE

WHATWILLYOURMAINRESPONSIBILITIESBE

  • Operate and Maintain steam generation plants and other utilities equipment such as compressed air, refrigeration and water treatment plants.

  • Carryout water quality tests and control deviations.

  • Adhere to site’s safety, health, environmental and quality standards.

  • Assess risks for all tasks and ensure they are controlled before, during and after task execution.

  • Provide data and information to support operations and maintenance management.

  • Accept personal responsibility for his own health and safety of others affected by his work.

  • Comply with local regulatory standards

  • Analyse problems and take appropriate action to ensure efficient and safe operation of equipment.

  • Participate in development and performance improvement trainings.

  • Report all incidents and follow up until investigations and corrective actions are completed timely.

WHATYOUWILLNEEDTOSUCCEED

Experiences& Qualifications

  • Minimum of mechanical/electrical engineering technician Part III or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant experience boiler operations and maintenance.Bachelor’s degree or HND in Mechanical or Electrical Trade or equivalent with 3+ years of relevant experience boiler operations and maintenance

  • Bachelor’s degree or HND in Mechanical or Electrical Trade or equivalent with 3+ years of relevant experience boiler operations and maintenance.

  • Excellent knowledge of Biomass boiler plant operation and maintenance will be an added advantage.

  • Good working knowledge of compressors, Chillers and water treatment system.

  • Great communication & technical skills

  • Ability to work in a team.

  • Experience identifying risks and opportunities.

Skills

  • Good knowledge of boilers and utilities equipment.

  • Good problem-solving skills.

  • Good knowledge in mechanical, electrical and instrumentation trade.

  • Ability to multi-task.

  • Self-motivated

  • Detailed-oriented

  • Computer literate and numerate
