MAIN JOB PURPOSE:
The Home Care Category is one of the key BUs worldwide and in Latam. Brazil represents the second market in terms of importance in the HC Unilever world. With big and recognized brands, loved by consumers as Omo, Brilhante, Comfort, Cif, among others. The category has very established and mature presence in key categories as Fabric Cleaners and Fabric Enhancers and an increasing one in Cleaners and Dishwash spaces, with different footprints in the Latam markets. At the same time, new growth avenues keep gaining space in terms of business relevance as well as spaces to learn and expand our capabilities. Examples of this are Unilever Professional business and Laundrettes, but also the entry in new segments within our core categories (i.e. Fragrance Boosters, new formats development as concentrates, liquids, disinfectants).
As a Business Unit, the key current focus is in building a HC end to end business. This means being a Home Care expert and accountable for our products and brands in what refers to all Ps. As the most recent change, the channels teams and sales force are gaining HC expertise and full integration into the business unit to ensure we can focus on competing in the market from product creation to the last mile on the shelf.
As a result of this, the HC teams will focus increasingly on channel understanding as well as design for channel innovation. Also understanding our efficiencies in terms of investment will be critical to prioritize those bringing the best return and impact.
One of the most successful channels in Latam for Home Care is Unilever Professional. The Upro team expands strongly from Brazil into new markets across Latam and is among the top global markets as well as Argentina. Understanding the operator segments and professional cleaning growth avenues is a key insight work needed.
Deepening in channels and regions is for sure one of the secrets for success. Also being able to drive good diagnoses using our set of metrics to prioritize actions that will drive impact in our business.
The expectation for a person in this role is to be an expert and lead metrics and data capabilities within the team, with ability to understand and teach to others, use data and diagnose for action. Examples of these metrics are UBS, TDP, CGI. Also, traditional data as Retail, Panel data. Models such as forecasting, MMM, pricing tools.
In terms of ad hoc, we expect this team to lead shopper/channel studies and ad hoc/innovative approaches for our UPro business. This includes UPro regional /local innovation developed and inputs to global team when global Big Bets.
Expected role dedication: Circa 20% UPro, 80% Channels, Shopper, Performance.
Reporting line:
Based in Brazil. Report to CMI Manager HC Performance – Channels/Shopper and UPro.
Scope:
Mainly Brazil in terms of studies and analysis. With interaction with Argentina performance + CMI manager when appropriate.
Coordination for Latam (Brazil + River Plate) in terms of capabilities, Latam HC forums. Both for Performance and UPro agenda/ knowledge consolidation.

Key Accountabilities:
Channel dynamics and macroeconomics affecting HC consumption.
Channels shopper understanding plan for HC Latam (including UPro operators)
HC Data management – quality, availability, easiness of access – Retail, Panel, Performance (MMM, Pricing, Forecasting, CVDs, new metrics capabilities and link with global teams (UBS, TDP, CGI).
Support on operator insights for innovation development in UPro business.
Co-develop growth avenues for UPro.
CMI HC investment analysis/ coordination
Experience:
Experience in a Consumer/Shopper Insight role.
Experience in managing retail/ panel data/ modelling/shopper. At least in one of these pillars.
Previous external experience on data agency valued (i.e. AC Nielsen, Kantar, Consultants)
Or strong base on data skills.
We are also open to candidates with a Marketing/Performance/ CSP/ CatMan/ Channels experience.
Portuguese and English speaking required
