ICE CREAM IS HIRING FOR Ice Cream - ICNOW Specialist

Location: Hofplein, Rotterdam – The Netherlands - with intent to move to Amsterdam in 2025.

The Ice Cream business is operating in a highly attractive category, as we are part of the 1 trillion snacking and refreshment industry, growing consistently at high pace. We have strong brands equities: 5 of top 10 selling brands including Wall’s, Magnum, Ben &Jerry’s. We are investing to unlock the full growth potential of Ice Cream as a standalone entity, once we separate from Unilever, which is planned to happen by November 2025.

JOB PURPOSE:

Are you a passionate e-commerce specialist with an entrepreneurial mindset? Do you want to make a difference for iconic brands like Ben & Jerry’s and Magnum, driving their growth on major delivery platforms like Thuisbezorgd and Uber Eats? This role offers you the chance to make an impact in the dynamic Out of Home market.

As an E-commerce Specialist, you will focus on increasing the visibility and sales of our ice cream brands across fast-growing delivery channels. You’ll work to expand the number of delivery restaurants offering our ice cream, boosting sales through platforms like Thuisbezorgd and Uber Eats. You’ll accelerate distribution growth by improving the rate of sale per restaurant and securing new sales locations. Additionally, you'll collaborate with food chains to optimize and expand sales. You will work closely with the Field Sales team. You’ll guide their actions, set ambitious targets, and ensure efficiency in achieving distribution growth for our brands. You’ll also work with an external telesales partner to meet strategic goals, expanding your distribution capacity and initiating targeted sales actions. Apart from this you will work closely with our intenational teams to create dCommerce OOH strategies to drive innovation and growth in the BNX but also inspire other markets to grow.

In this role, you’ll develop your strategic skills and grow your leadership abilities as you manage a team and drive ambitious growth targets.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE?

  • Digital Commerce Strategy: Create and drive the digital commerce strategy for Out of Home

  • Platform Optimization & innovation: Constantly explore and implement new features, tools, or partnerships on delivery platforms to improve product visibility, customer engagement, and sales conversions.

  • Collaboration with platforms & foodchains: Build and maintain strong relationships with delivery platforms and foodchains ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.

  • Collaboration with partners: Work Closely with Hamilton Bright (Field sales) and telesales teams to implement strategies, set targets, and drive distribution growth.

  • Mentor: Mentor the field sales team by helping them achieve their targets

  • Collaboration: Collaborate with international digital, media, and dCommerce teams & Category teams to drive prioritized initiatives from strategy creation through implementation.

  • Lead & innovate: Lead projects to improve dCommerce strategy and implement digital innovations to drive online sales

  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape in the digital commerce space.

EXPERIENCE YOU SHOULD HAVE/THE QUALITIES WE LOOK FOR

  • Experience: 2-3 years of digital and omnichannel commercial experience.

  • Skills:

    • Deep understanding of out of home, especially in the food delivery channel

    • Strong skills in managing multiple initiatives, setting goals and delivering results

    • Experiences working with external teams, guiding partners, and leading cross- functional projects

    • Continuous-learner mindset with a strong understanding of the evolving digital landscape.

    • Passion for data to understand trends and create insights in a new and undeveloped market.

    • Active approach to align and educate people within the organization on digital commerce.

    • Excellent communication skills to engage and influence multiple stakeholders.

  • Attributes:

    • Strong commercial and interpersonal skills.

    • Analytical, structured, and entrepreneurial mindset.

    • Comfortable in an international and dynamic work environment.

    • Results-oriented, proactive, and motivated by complex challenges.

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high standard of quality.

  • Language: Native Dutch speaker, a good level of English, both written and spoken.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
