HC EU (BG led) is a high impact ~€1.8bn business. Driving 65% of topline and 40% of bottom-line growth for the BG in 2024, it is not only a strategic business unit for HC BG but also global Unilever. The BU is the hub of disruptive innovations and is under-going a once-in-a-generation transformation agenda under an E2E Program titled ‘Bring-it-Home’. (~€250m investment, and ~100m savings). This program has led to a bold turn-around of the business in 2023 and 2024, and the next horizon is to institutionalize a long-term competitive business, sustaining the winning performance year on year.
Port Sunlight is the historic home of Unilever founded in 1889. Today it remains one of the most strategic Unilever sites, supplying Home Care Products to Unilever UK and Western EU markets and driving the cutting-edge innovations and value creation agenda for HC EU and Unilever.
JOB PURPOSE
Transformation Finance manager is a highly dynamic and exciting role. It provides dual exposure; to Supply Chain/Factory finance by leading the biggest transformation of the PSL site, and equally partnering HC EU & UKI HC teams to land value creation in the P&L.
WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE?
- Lead the Bring-it-Home PSL Program – partnering the site leadership for On-time-in-full execution of Liquids and Capsules transformation.
- Work closely with site leadership to develop an integrated site 3-year masterplan landing step change in factory asset and cost base.
- Lead monthly reviews of capex, restructuring and savings with SC and BU leadership. Track vs Business case. Flag, challenge and take course correction measures where needed.
- Ensure close tracking and monitoring of value in the P&L working with BU SC, BU performance and UKI HC Finance teams.
- Act as the key BU Finance contact for new processes and master-data set up through UniOps and SCFS teams.
- Insightful delivery on ad-hoc analytics / requests and value opportunity identification.
What You'll Need To Succeed
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent certifications in Accounting, Finance or related fields
- 4-5 years of relevant work experience with strong Leadership skills
- Prior work experience in Supply Chain Finance is strongly preferred; Consumer Product Goods (CPG) preferred
- ERP Experience required; SAP preferred
- Microsoft Office required; Advanced Excel required
- Business partnering experience with clear, focused, and sound financial assessment and guidance (strategic insights, risks, and opportunities)
- Leading efficient and effective budgeting and forecasting activities (complex and time-sensitive, cycle-driven and continuous forward look approaches)
- Providing incisive and persuasive management performance reporting and analysis solutions across multiple organizational dimensions
- Developing strong personal and team relationships across a multitude of business stakeholders
