JOB PURPOSE

This role is part of the SHE Global Compliance team managing SHE Data and Reporting. The teams owns the Safety and Environment performance reporting process for corporate, Business Groups and Regions. The team are driving improvements in process, data and systems, to improve analytics and drive insight into performance.
This role will allow you to bring strong analytical skills alongside creativity and innovation to the way we measure, monitor and report on our progress and impact. As a Data and Reporting Specialist, you will have the opportunity to influence the way Environmental performance is managed in Unilever.
The focus of this position is to enhance our digital and data capabilities to bolster environmental performance reporting, particularly in alignment with sustainability and environmental metrics. Responsibilities include integrating diverse data sources and crafting impactful data visualizations and analytics to discern trends crucial for informed decision-making processes.
The role requires digital and analytic skills as well as broad understanding of related issues. The applicant should have a sound understanding of data platform infrastructures & methodologies as well as experience in working with cross functional teams and be a confident communicator and influencer.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collect, ingest, clean, transform and model data following best practices and tools including MS Power Query and DAX.
- Code, test, debug, and validate deployed solutions.
- Analyse data using statistical and visualization techniques to develop and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and apps, including ongoing maintenance.
- Use MS Power Platform to support automation through custom workflows and Power Apps.
- Establish and leverage a global network for knowledge exchange and best practices within Unilever.
- Collaborate with Data and Reporting team members to improve data and reporting processes and systems.
- Experience driving continuous improvement.
- Understand the end-to-end flow of information between data platforms and functional groups
- Work on projects to deliver improvements to the processes, systems and tools.
ALL ABOUT YOU
Experiences & Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
- Relevant experience as a Data and Reporting Analyst or a similar role
Skills
ESSENTIAL
- Strong data science & analytics skills, with an innate curiosity on the topic.
- Good understanding of data modelling, and primary data management.
- Proficient in an analysis tool such as Microsoft Power BI (essential), and Advanced Excel.
- Proficiency in M (Power Query), DAX (essential), and SQL (preferred).
- Proficiency in connecting to Microsoft Azure and publishing to Power BI service to develop scaled analytic models in the cloud.
- Attention to detail and a high standard of work.
- Project management skills, especially in delivery of digital / system solutions
- Adaptable in navigating time zone differences in global teams to ensure seamless communication and workflow coordination.

Location
In 2020, Unilever announced the intention to build a new sustainable campus site in Kingston, London to house the employees who currently work in 100 Victoria Embankment in Blackfriars ("100VE"), Lever House in Kingston and Graze in Richmond, the build is due to be complete in early 2025. Most recently, in August 2024, we announced our intention to retain our premises in 100VE until our lease expires in 2027.
We are due to consult with our existing workforce on the new proposal to retain 100VE for the duration of our lease. Therefore, until such a time consultation has concluded as to the retention of our 100VE office, this role will be based in 100 Victoria Embankment until early 2025 and then will move to the Kingston Campus.
Relocation to the UK
