We have a new opportunity for motivated and experienced Electrician within our Minto manufacturing site. The roles offer excellent EBA conditions with an emphasis on promoting a healthy work life balance. Working as part of the site Engineering team, the role is a permanent full time, and offers a mix of responsibilities and exposure to a number of different PLC systems and technologies.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will have a strong focus on safety, possess strong communication skills and be able to work independently performing a wide range of tasks including:
- Providing shift breakdown support packing lines, mixing plants, Palletising, utilities, waste treatment plant.
- Understand and conduct complex fault finding and repairs of electrical, electronic components including instruments.
- Participating in autonomous maintenance programs.
- Completing site focused improvements and small projects across the site.
- Monitor and evaluate the condition of all electrical, electronics and instrumentation.
- Working as a team player to maintain and improve plant efficiency.
- Analyze data, solve complex electrical, instrumentation and automation problems.
- Training and coaching electrical apprentices.
Does this sound like You?
Essential to the role the candidate must possess following qualifications & experience:
- Australian Electrical Trade qualification
- NSW Electrical License
- Experience in a manufacturing FMCG environment
- Excellent skills to troubleshoot machine issues using automation soft wares like Rockwell and Siemens (including PCS7) in a timely manner
- Training skills to train operators, apprentices, fellow trades (share knowledge) after implementation of improvement projects or any major breakdown.
- Strong communication skills and can do attitude.
- Understanding of OH&S requirements and safe work behaviour
- Excellent verbal, written and inter-personal communication skills
Desirable:
- TAFE Accredited Hazardous area Training
- Robotic experience (ABB, Kawasaki)
- Safety PLC understanding
- SAP or CMMS experience
