JOB PURPOSE:
Work with Walls division engineering and ensure full compliance to Standard Design & Unilever Engineering Standards. Develop, deploy and implement plans to ensure the best utilization of assets in the sites as well as supervise and give guidance on the maintenance of such assets. This role would have the Utilities, Central Engineering & Electrical & Instrumentation Team reporting to them.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create and implement plans to continuously improve site infrastructure needs such as energy, water, treatment, steam and all infrastructure services, contracts and contractors
Work collaboratively with Operations managers to improve site and line efficiencies and reduce Waste
Project Leadership & execution – Setup engineering team and deliver BPC projects from End to End to meet business objectives
Closely work with Division Engineering, Design Company and end user to land Standard Design/Best Practice/New technology into projects
Deliver project FEED design, Detailed design, Construction, Equipment Installation and commissioning, startup and handover On Time In Full
Closely work with SU to provide feasibility/concept study for new projects
Manage Contractors to deliver daily on-site construction jobs as per master schedule
Support innovation delivery as part of regional network
Lead the Innovation implementation on the site, looking for best alternatives/options of design to manufacturing, following USCC/category technology selections.
Partner with SU and business partners to plan and manage BPC Capex and ensure forecast accuracy and drive CapEx Efficiency by external in, benchmarking and value engineering
Be responsible for Construction Safety: Zero accident
Drive Engineering excellence and team capability building
Liaison with local government authorities as part of external networking
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
7+ years’ experience is required within relevant Make Roles
SKILLS:
Excellent communication skills and team working ability at all levels.
Relevant experience in a managerial role in a high volume manufacturing or similar environment (FMCG).
Effective interpersonal skills and organisational awareness
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
Experience in delivering a highly efficient production operation to the required levels of quality, hygiene and safety. Experience of a strong unionized environment.
Experience of leading through a significant period of change.
Comfortable working cross functionally and across the supply chain department
