JOB PURPOSE

This role exists to co-ordinate procurement activities in a cluster covering warehousing, repacking and secondary transport portfolios. To lead regional projects & tenders, lead cross-regional supplier agenda in warehousing, repacking and secondary transportation agenda. The role will involve complex research, analysis and interpretation, including ability to make recommendation for business decisions or making decisions in their specific area of work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage relationships with a portfolio of suppliers.

  • Implement and execute the Procurement Strategy.

  • Ensure Procurement compliance and drive the digital agenda.

  • Lead the procurement contracting process and manage contracts for assigned portfolios.

  • Create and maintain a centralized portfolio knowledge database.

  • Lead regional tender initiatives within the cluster.

  • Drive cross-regional projects and activities as assigned by the manager.

  • Lead cost optimization projects in transport, warehousing, and repacking (efficiencies, benchmarking).

  • Lead sustainability initiatives and projects (e.g., alternative fuel, energy-efficient operations).

  • Support supplier business allocation and assist the Procurement Manager in high-value negotiations.

  • Act as regional portfolio lead, overseeing responsible sourcing, quality, performance management, continuous improvement, resilience, segmentation, contractual models, and 3PL negotiations and strategy.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in Procurement, Transportation or Logistics

  • Fluency in spoken and written English

  • Strong analytical skills with high proficiency in MS Excel

  • Negotiation skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • SAP knowledge

  • Tendering platforms knowledge

  • Ability to work under time pressure
