JOB PURPOSE
The Workplace Manager is responsible for the Workplace across the country. Where he/she will ensure that our Workplaces services are Future Fit and aligned to the ambition of a great place to work and trailblazing for best -in-class employee workplace experiences.

The role will be responsible will be accountable for the day-to-day delivery of Workplace Services in line with established service levels and service line strategy. The services scope of this role includes primarily Facilities Management (both soft and technical services but excluding technical services inside the production areas of our Supply Chain). The services scope will also include activities across the other Workplace Services areas (Real Estate, Travel and Agile Working and projects). The portfolio ranges from large head offices to small offices and numerous diverse factory sites.


WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
• Work closely with global, regional and local business stakeholders to identify, shape, and implement best in class workplace strategies – including strategy and operating framework; balancing costs and overall employee experience is key.
• Ensure focus is on ensuring we build an employee experience by listening to our employees that enables business strategic objectives.
• Owning and managing the local WPS budget
• Driving continuous improvement culture to increase efficiencies and enhance employee experience.
• The role also has important function to play with HR, Supply Chain, CD, Finance and R&D to ensure that the strategy and operating framework is aligned with the business strategy, supports growth, is cost effective, supports our Sustainable Living plan and meets our Safety & Security standards & values.
• Ensure that the team will manage day to day operations of in-house teams and service provider (s) across the geography
• Resolve performance and quality issues, escalating to WPS Lead PTAB & 1ULME where required, ensuring timely resolution
• Deliver harmonization and continuous improvement projects aimed at improving cost and service
• Identify trends and opportunities to drive adoption of the services and work with key stakeholders and clients to develop and implement plans to address these opportunities
• Ensure the team will provide timely and accurate performance reports and lead changes and improvements to metrics SLA’s, KPI’s, etc
• Facilitate regular performance reviews with service providers and/or insourced operations teams with geography leadership teams, holding both the supplier(s) and the client accountable for their part in successful delivery

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in workplace/facilities management, office operations, or integrated facilities services.
• Proven experience in managing vendors and service contracts (cleaning, catering, security, maintenance, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) standards and local compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to manage office space planning, workplace relocations or refurbishments.
• Experience with budget planning and cost control in workplace operations.
• Skilled in people management, with experience leading teams or supervising site-based personnel.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across multiple business functions.
• Experience in fleet management, travel services or corporate hospitality operations.
• Previous experience supporting regional or multi-site operations.
• Background in project management or office fit-out projects (PM certification is a plus).
• Familiarity with sustainability practices and workplace energy-saving initiatives.
• Exposure to hybrid work models and employee experience optimization.
• Working knowledge of workplace technology platforms (e.g., visitor management, room booking systems, BMS).
• Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s is a plus).
• Experience in contract negotiation and performance SLAs/KPIs tracking.

• Ability to handle multiple priorities and manage change in a fast-paced environment
• Competence in reporting, data analysis and performance tracking
• Strategic thinking to align workplace services with business goals
• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
