MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Our Assistant Finance Manager roles are aligned with Unilever’s key business processes and serve as strategic partners to bring an understanding of Finance, value creation and business drivers. Assistant Finance Manager partners with the business teams to ensure growth and to enable them to meet their financial goals, actively lead efforts to find opportunities and implement solutions to improve the financial performance of the business.
By providing an integrated financial perspective on the impact of business decisions, the incumbent makes recommendations and influences decisions that maximize value for the business.
What Else Do They Do in This Role?
- To prepare and co-ordinate all financial plans; Full P&L responsibility in driving financial performance including Overheads; Prepare the strategic planning process by delivering high quality insights using analytics
- Managing month end closing, forecasting, and reporting activities; following up actions for financial performance
- Support and partner with the business teams in business modelling, P&L forecasts, competitor benchmarking, savings.
- Provide support in the areas of Gross Margin (GM), Pricing, Return on Media Investment (ROMI), market development amongst others
- Development of business cases in collaboration with brand teams as well as the Research & Development (R&D) and Consumer & Market Insight (CMI) communities; Drive post-launch intervention.
- Monitor Ice cream season-end returns and reflect the financial impact of the returned products in actual P&L based on actual damaged/undamaged split
- Preparation of the cumulative TTS correction
- Conduct financial modeling (financial scenarios) and analysis to support business decisions
- Support analytical and business frameworks as well as a quantitative approach to decision-making that shape the overall strategic course of the organization.
- Formulation of pricing strategies, business assessment of new product initiatives, competitive analysis and benchmarking, and business process redesign.
- Involvement with special projects related to business development, strategic growth and ad hoc analysis.
- Ensure the accuracy of Financial Reports
- Identify operational efficiencies and improve processes.
- Value partner for business cases, including investments project, innovations, cost model reviews.
- Support on prioritization and activation of a ZBB (Zero Based Budgeting) mind-set within the Category and Brand.
- Driving accountability within the teams and the right service level support from the FET.
- Support in-year business performance for Turkey to deliver targets
- Accountable for the P&L Numbers, Movements and Gaps to Targets
- Prepare Financial presentations and submissions for Local & Global Business Teams
- Monthly Forecast & Weekly Turnover Submissions
- Monthly BG – BU performance deck
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Experiences & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Business Administrations, Engineering or related fields.
- At least 4 years of experience in Finance such as Management Reporting, Finance Business Partnering, FP&A, Budget Management, Financial Audit
Skills
- Strong analytical capabilities with bias to drive action.
- Good understanding on finance process and operations.
- Advanced skills in Excel, and good knowledge of SAP and OLAP.
- Excellent engagement, presentation, and communication skills.
