JOB PURPOSE

If you are passionate to work in the frontline Supply Chain factory team of Unilever Sri Lanka while being responsible to ensure the manufacturing process consistency, continuous process improvement, bringing future fit technological transformation to deliver the plant KPIs, then this role is just for you!
WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
Leverage technical knowledge and a systems approach to ensure factory lines and processes are optimally resourced (e.g. manpower ratios are efficient and sustainable).
Collect and analyze complex data to penetrate problems’ phenomena and understand root causes.
Eliminate Waste and Loss according to the WCM prioritization process using AM, PM, FI and QC pillar tools and methodologies.
Apply the full set of UMS methods and tools to identify root causes, define countermeasures and validate their effectiveness, mastery of FI, AM, PM, Q and PD methods and tools.
Create Technical Standards to ensure process stability on the line.
Train line crews on technical standards and restoration of basic conditions (Stability sustainability).
Identify and extend good practice to other lines.
Application and accuracy of MMP Code data.
Assist in Designing Experiments needed to establish Proven Acceptable Ranges for critical and key process parameters.
Understands relationships between Process and Product Quality to achieve Process Optimization.
Write protocols and reports needed to support Process Validation, process changes and equipment modifications.
Provide training to manufacturing staff on manufacturing procedures.
Troubleshoot unexpected events during manufacturing, assists in investigating and documenting process deviations and CAPAs.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Experiences & Qualifications
Be a graduate from Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering stream.
Must have up to 3-4 years of similar experience, preferably in FMCG Manufacturing industry.
Experience in statistics and process control tools.
Experience in AM, PM, Quality and FI tools and processes.
Six Sigma Certification (Preferred).
Confident in applying problem solving tools (5W1H, 4M, 5WHY etc.)
Prior experience of dealing with Auto CAD.
