Hellmann’s is an iconic global brand sold to 450 million consumers in over 50 countries. This role’s primary responsibility is to serve as the Associate Brand Manager for Hellmann’s / Best Foods US. Hellmann’s is the #1 brand of mayonnaise in the United States, penetrating over 50% of US households. This individual will be responsible for helping to develop world class and industry leading Full Funnel Marketing activities and managing performance for Hellmann’s / Best Foods. Hellmann’s / Best Foods US represents a significant portion of the global Dressings business for Unilever, and is critical to deliver results in North America and the Global Foods business. We need someone who is eager to learn, passionate about executing large campaigns, developing award-winning creative, and delivering best-in-class execution. The KPI’s this role will need to deliver on are growing Household Penetration, growing Market Share and increasing Brand Equity scores. The role will also oversee the Maille mustard brand. Maille is a premium French mustard brand with a rich heritage dating back to 1747, known for its culinary craftsmanship and sophisticated flavor profiles. Positioned at the intersection of tradition and innovation, Maille inspires elevated everyday meals and gourmet experiences alike.
The role will report into the Associate Director of Condiments Demand Generation US and will suit an ambitious marketer who is looking to further their experience in performance & engagement marketing. We are looking for individuals who believe in our vision, and who can craft strategy, own a large-scale budget, execute fully integrated brand campaigns, and help lead inter-agency and cross-functional teams in supporting current & launching new products in market. This job presents plenty of scope for independent brand work and team stewardship, agency and cross-functional leadership plus lots of creativity. The ideal candidate has passion for high performance, is knowledgeable and/or passionate about the food space, consumer centric, and able to manage multiple priorities. Who You Are & What You’ll Do
o Help lead the development of full funnel marketing activities for key strategic pillars in the Dressings US business, to drive brand & category consumption growth.
o Manage share performance & deployment of large-scale marketing budgets for the Hellmann’s/Best Foods business in the US.
o Oversee the brand’s national retail marketing strategy, inclusive of creating in-store merchandising assets & campaigns from development to execution.
o Craft & execute US-centric, social-first communications and activation plans with cross-functional and agency partners across paid, owned & earned media.
o Manage the development & execution of marketing assets for big brand seasonal moments, including key game day & holiday pushes.
o Oversee the brand’s sports marketing partnerships & programs, including team relations, asset development & program management.
o Leverage data to uncover powerful insights and growth opportunities for the brand, driving insights into action.
o Work closely with the US innovation team on best-in-class deployment of US innovation launches & marketing plans.
o Work with customer development to deliver promotional calendar; measure & optimize plan performance throughout the year to improve results.
o Lead brand strategy and execution for Maille mustard in the US, driving growth and activating consumer-centric campaigns that reinforce Maille’s premium positioning.
What You’ll Need To Succeed
o BA or MBA
o 2-3+ years experience in Brand Marketing or similar required – passion for food is a big plus!
o Experience leading consumer marketing programs; strong knowledge of the digital and social landscape.
o Strong data analytic skills, with ability to turn insights into action to win competitive share.
o Demonstrated ability to interface and effectively work with a variety of agency & external partners to deliver integrated programs.
o The candidate must demonstrate an entrepreneurial mind set and strong bias for action with proven results leading and motivating internal cross functional teams and external partners.
o The successful candidate will have good judgement, attention to detail, an aesthetic eye and problem-solving skills.
o Understanding of the US retail environment & customer landscape preferred
o Strong prioritization skills.
o Audience and Consumer centric thinker, passionate about end to end marketing as a capability.
o High comfort level using Circana (or similar point of sale data) and Numerator (or similar panel data).
o A balance of art & science – think differently yet with a pragmatic business mindset.
Pay: The pay range for this position is $86,080 to $129,120. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
