The Key Account Management (KAM) Lead is responsible for driving commercial strategy and execution with strategic customers to deliver sustainable growth in turnover, market share, and profitability. The role includes supervising one Key Account Manager and one Account Planner, providing guidance and support to ensure effective delivery of joint business plans, category strategies, and customer initiatives. The KAM Lead focuses on building strong customer relationships, negotiating trade terms, and managing operational excellence through accurate forecasting and compliance. Success in this role requires solid commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and the ability to align customer priorities with company objectives.
Job Responsibilities
* Develop and implement comprehensive account plans for assigned key accounts, aligning with Unilever's overall business strategy and sales targets.
* Lead complex commercial negotiations with key retail partners, including pricing, promotions, new product introductions, and trade terms, ensuring profitability and market share growth.
* Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders within customer organizations, fostering trust and a deep understanding of their business needs.
* Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer insights to identify new business opportunities and develop compelling value propositions.
* Monitor and analyze sales performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
* Prepare and present regular performance reviews and strategic updates to senior management.
Job Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
* Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Key Account Management within the FMCG industry, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
* Demonstrated strong negotiation and influencing skills with a history of successful commercial outcomes.
* Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
* Proactive and results-oriented with a strong business acumen and understanding of the Finnish retail landscape.
* Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport at all levels.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment.
* Fluency in Finnish and English is essential.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM systems.
