JOB PURPOSE:

Are you ready to make a difference in the world of Ice Cream? The Disposal and Pallet Specialist role is your chance to shine! This dynamic position is designed to support Ice Cream operations by managing disposal and pallet programs, ensuring efficient operations, and driving cost savings. Be a part of the team that keeps things cool and efficient.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Disposal Management

  • Compile and distribute monthly disposal reports for non-hazardous waste to be actioned by 3PL sites.
  • Process all waste vendor invoices promptly.
  • Lead bi-weekly calls with waste vendors and carrier claims.
  • Implement best practices for disposal status, vendor invoicing, and aging of carrier claims.
  • Onboard newly acquired companies into the Ice Cream Company network through waste and disposal management.

Pallet Management

  • Manage Ice Cream Company’s rental program across ice cream networks and select Collaborative Manufacture partners.
  • Maintain close contact with Logistics, Procurement, Planning, Warehousing, IT, Collaborative Manufactures, and external pallet vendors.
  • Ensure 100% pallet product availability for all sites within the Ice Cream Company Universe, while performing root cause analysis of pallet usage issues and develop corrective actions.
  • Lead annual rental pallet audits for CHEP and PECO.
  • Lead the onboarding/offboarding of rental pallets program (CHEP) for all Ice Cream Company sites and select Collaborative Manufacturers.

SKILLS:

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Logistics, warehousing, and auditing.
  • Results-oriented, innovative thinker with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with all levels of management.
  • Ability to work in a challenging business environment, managing numerous priorities concurrently.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

LEADERSHIP: 

  • Provide clear and effective updates to Leadership on a weekly basis.
  • Positive attitude, patience, eagerness to learn, and a pleasant personality
  • Strong influencing skills

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

As publicly announced, Unilever will separate its Ice Cream business which is expected by the end of 2025. This role will transfer to the new Ice Cream company.

Pay: The pay range for this position is $69,360 to $104,040. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs. 

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible. 

Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
