JOB PURPOSE
Customer Development (CD) is what we call our Sales organization at Unilever. CD works closely with customers to pioneer new products, build categories, and deploy best-in-class retail and shopper capabilities.
The primary purpose of the Associate Customer Business Manager (ACBM) position is to develop sustained business relationships and drive profitable sales volume with Dollar General. The ACBM is responsible for achieving volume goals while maintaining spending goals based on brand and customer joint business planning. They will optimize product distribution, pricing and promotions to drive profitable growth. It is imperative that they have a working knowledge of the consumer cross functions. In addition, the ACBM will have the responsibility for providing analysis across the total Beauty and Personal Care team.
WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
- Work with a cross-functional team to develop and deliver a joint business plan with Dollar General across the Skin category. This plan will include product assortment, promotions, and pricing strategy developed through your insight and analysis of the category.
- Drive strategic relationships and accelerated growth, while operating within approved Trade parameters and driving investment efficiency
- Leverage data to identify insights and drive new approaches for growth
- Quickly identify the puzzle that comes with each new conversation, assess the pros and cons of multiple approaches, and deliver mutually beneficial solutions
- Customize marketing and merchandising programs with the customer
- Collaborate with Category Management to drive shelf initiatives
- Enjoy operating in an environment where you own the business delivery
- Routinely interface with multiple internal and external departments; Balance individual customer needs while ensuring total Market integrity
- Provide analysis across the BPC categories to support the team with insights to help deliver business needs
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
Experience & Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree is required
- 3+ years experience in CPG or Retail Industry
- Trade Marketing and/or Category Management experience is a plus
- Must be able to effectively relate with multiple levels of management, both internally and externally
- Must be skilled in verbal and written communications
- Must be a strategic thinker that can work effectively, and in a highly collaborative manner
- Must have strong relationship building and management skills
- Working knowledge of POS Reporting systems (Nielsen, IRI, Customer-Specific) and Sales Planning Systems.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with Excel and PowerPoint.
Pay: The pay range for this position is $86,080 to $129,120. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
