JOB TITLE: Production Engineering Intern

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete all Internship requirements as stipulated by Unilever, including but limited to training attendance, assessments completion, project completion, logbook completion and presentations as needed
- Apply the full set of UMS methods and tools to identify root causes, define countermeasures and validate their effectiveness; mastery of AM, PM, Q and FI tools and processes and establish standards to support line operators sustain new basic conditions.
- He/she will apply extensively the full range of focused Improvement methods and tools to counter losses identified in the areas of Safety, Quality, Business priority and Cost Deployment, Autonomous maintenance, Customer Service and Agility.
- Leverage technical knowledge and a systems approach to ensure factory lines and processes are optimally resourced (e.g. manpower ratios are efficient and sustainable)
- Collect and analyse complex data to penetrate problems’ phenomena and understand root causes
- Eliminate Waste and Loss according to the UMS prioritization process using AM, PM, FI and QC pillar tools and methodologies
- Lead/co-ordinate the deployment of digital activities in the factories. The focus will be on enabling our manufacturing sites to deploy appropriate, standardized technologies and ensure consistency in deployment and associated benefit delivery.
- Lead projects related to efficiencies improvements.
- The purpose of the role is to drive process efficiency across all performance areas of the site in
alignment with its Master plan strategic priorities and needs.
- Key focus will also be to support on deployment of UMS and R2S programs
- Manage the roll out of UMS program in the site & support pillars with their improvement plans, governance & gap analysis.
- Follow SOP procedures as needed within the operation assigned to.
- Conform to all site rules governing safety of self and others, quality and code of business principles.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Completed Degree Mechanical/Chemical/ Industrial Engineering.
- Use of computer software programs – Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word is essential
- Good communication skills both written and verbal – proficient in English
- Self starter & agile mindset
- Analytical thinking & affinity for numbers
