Main Job Purpose:
The ambition to drive productivity in the Supply Chain costs requires a high level of value creation, transformation, and process re-design, which is part of the Supply Chain cluster Strategy. The Supply Chain Finance function plays a pivotal role - supporting strategic business decisions, providing relentless focus on value and cash.
The Procurement Finance Senior Specialist Andina is a key partner to Procurement leadership team to deliver value though cost, cash contribution improvement and understanding of end-to-end material cost. The role reports to the Supply Chain Finance Lead for Andina, dealing with different stakeholders in local, regional and global teams. It also offers a great opportunity to develop a regional network across Procurement and Finance.
The role enables you to experience a unique position in which you can develop a deep knowledge over Latin America Andean countries and their challenges and particularities as well as close understanding of the global network and developed and developing markets characteristics.
This position will support SCF transformation by providing self-service quality information and reliable data analytics. It will require close collaboration with the Supply Chain Leadership Team, Shared Services experts (Supply Chain Finance Services), the extended Supply Chain Finance Team, and Commercial Finance, among others, on an ad-hoc basis.
For this role, we are seeking a dynamic finance talent with expertise in financial business partnering and a passion to learn and contribute to SCF, with the ability to influence presential and remote teams in a large-scale transformation, change management, communicate in an assertive way to coordinate multiple areas from a financial planning and business partnering perspective, and will work as a senior individual contributor.
The incumbent will assume responsibility for the following:
KEY RESPONSABILITIES:
· Material Cost Forecasting Process: Lead the Forecasting process for Andina markets, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with global standards. This covers, support of the Full Cycle Material forecasting process for the region in coordination with the SCFS, Procurement and Performance Management teams, including discussion and definition of the premises for material prices, Product Logic (reformulation) savings, and CMA components (import / export / FX / Tax / Others).
· Responsible for the forecast bias and performance of the Materials line.
· Understanding of the actuals vs. forecast results to capture variances into an efficient forecasting process. Provide explanations of Actual Materials vs. Forecast and Forecast vs. Forecast for the region forecasting cycles.
· Collaboratively work with SCFS, Performance Management and Procurement teams (cash in advance, rebates, hedge, etc.) in the identification of Material Cost efficiencies and value creation projects.
· Business Partnering: Act as a trusted finance partner to Procurement teams, providing insights and recommendations to drive value creation and cost optimization.
· Imports & Exports Analysis: Perform detailed financial analysis of import and export flows, assessing impacts on cost structures and identifying opportunities for efficiency.
· Performance Tracking: Monitor procurement financial performance versus targets, highlighting risks and opportunities to stakeholders.
· Compliance & Controls: Ensure adherence to Unilever’s financial policies, controls, and reporting standards.
· Influence and connect with the extended Supply Chain Finance team to gather, validate, and integrate inputs for accurate forecasting.
· Participate in the construction of tools needed to drive financial performance and understanding, through robust business acumen.
· Provide inputs if required for presentations ad hoc on matters of material costs when needed.
· Support scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to guide decision-making and risk management.
· Promote a culture of continuous improvement and financial discipline across the supply chain organization.
· Ensure support to the Performance Management team for the internal performance agenda and documentation preparation.
· Support as required to Strategic SC, Commercial Finance, 1UL global & Internal/External Audit or any other relevant stakeholder on an ad-hoc basis for the pillars in scope of Industrial Finance and Customer Operations.
