Background & Purpose of the Job 

This is a Business Partnering role that works closely with the Commercial Lead and all the functions of the country, providing financial insights in key decisions in business within the function while creating actionable strategies to achieve financial business targets with continuous performance monitoring and effective resource allocation. The Finance Head is also responsible for submitting forecasts with proper bias and respecting the business and brand fundamentals. The role reports to the Finance Head of Latin America for Personal Care, is a member of the country Leadership Team and the Finance Latam leadership team, in both cases for the Personal Care BU. The role is also in permanent contact with the National teams with responsibility for the market, notably with the Finance VP Mexico and her team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct continuous analysis to provide insights focusing on variables in a scope, to the Commercial Lead and all functions in the country.

  • Ensures that the team achieves its business performance goals through steering multi-functional planning processes providing high quality rolling forecasts and guiding dynamic resource allocation across the functions.

  • Provides insights for key business decisions through application of business acumen.

  • Creates actionable strategies and initiatives within the business team.

  • Responsible for strategic plan modelling, financial support for innovation projects and budget control of cost related to the functions within the country.

  • Provides continuous performance monitoring identifying key trends and proposing actions to capture opportunities and mitigation of risk.

  • Undertakes business competitor performance review.

  • Analyses brand and trade marketing investments to get the best possible return and growth.

  • Ensuring all business processes within all functions in the country are aligned with the Global framework of operations.

  • Works together with the Latam Finance Leadership Team to build common strategies to arrive to the best possible result for the BU, with the best possible contribution from the country.

  • Lead commercial finance in the country, to partner the new CBD-CSP structure and trade investment decisions.  

What You’ll Need to Succeed: 

  • Ensure that strict commercial and financial controls are established and adhered for the BU in the country.

  • Develop networking within the region and build a close liaison with other BUs in the country and other countries in the PC Organisation of Latam, enhancing business knowledge and adopting best practice.
