JOB PURPOSE
This role exists to manage Regulatory Affairs in Greece and the Baltics contributing to Unilever operational excellence. You’ll be part of a team that believes in doing work that matters — for people and the planet.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the Regulatory Strategy for the Assigned Markets end to end (Compliance, Advocacy and Innovation)
- Set the short- and long-term Regulatory strategy to support Business Strategy in the assigned Markets.
- Responsible for management of temp resources or third parties in the Assigned Markets.
- Ensure Products compliance with local regulations.
- Responsible for Regulatory Affairs talents (Career Development, Trainings & Expertise Development).
- Engage and execute strategic regulatory influencing activities via Industry Associations and direct contact with regulatory bodies to provide business continuity and/or competitive advantage, ensuring alignment with the Business Groups’ Regulatory agenda.
- Contribute to external issue management with relevant support functions.
- Actively lead the articulation, restrictions and opportunities of the regulatory framework and drive strong and compliant claims.
- Develop execution strategy to drive Business ambitions and plans.
Within Unilever:
- Drive the regulatory advocacy strategy, supporting Business Groups strategies.
- Line manage the Regulatory Affairs resources.
- Identify optimal interpretation of regulations for best business opportunities.
- Support the impact analysis of regulations to use ingredients/technologies/claims.
- Builds technical influencing strategies for Business’ positions, ensuring alignment with the global regulatory strategy agenda.
- Defines capability and talent development agenda and ensure proper talent management.
- Advise and business partner with senior stakeholders and leads on emerging business issues that can impact business operation and /or business continuity.
- Lead and drive growth Regulatory opportunities for margin.
Outside Unilever:
- Fully aware of relevant regulatory developments and understand/communicate the potential implications for the business and the risk associated with this.
- Ensure consistent advocacy and lobbying and trade associations strategy around existing and future technical regulations, ensuring alignment to the Business Groups/Business Units agenda to provide competitive advantage, where possible.
- Drive and influence big Advocacy topics in trade associations and industry groups by building strong networking with senior external stakeholders (authorities, industry, trade associations, Key Opinion Leaders).
- Work closely with External Affairs in managing and representing Unilever externally with senior stakeholders in the government (Prime Ministers, Ministers and key authority heads).
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Expertise in legislation & regulatory affairs; understanding and knowledge of regulatory principles and processes
- Product regulatory knowledge; understanding of product regulatory implications
- Expertise in regulatory development: understanding of institutions and developing regulations and potential impacts for products
- Strategic Thinking
- Building and delivering communication plans
- Excellent influencing ability, both internal as well as external
- More than 10 years of relevant working experience
- A well-established track record of delivery for which there is business recognition
- A well-developed management ability, acquired through the leadership of substantial projects or teams
- Experience in an external environment (e.g., contact with authorities or industry associations)
- A well-developed internal and external professional (Industry associations in the region) network
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
-Experience in issue management is preferred
