Main job purpose

The main purpose of the role is to guarantee the perfect execution of the Procurement Strategy for the business and sourcing units. The position is expected to translate daily procurement activities into P&L contribution for business units, while implementing transformational projects and innovations in Procurement.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage daily procurement activities effectively
  • Perform strong stakeholder management
  • Collect, monitor and manage market information, provide analysis and best estimate price forecast
  • Deliver financial KPIs to enhance profitability and improve cash flow for business units
  • Build partnership with suppliers to deliver operational KPIs and secure better, faster innovation
  • Be a sustainability pioneer


Part of the procurement team, responsible for all purchase commercial and/or operational activities

Key role activities:

  • Manage daily procurement activities for Unilever sourcing sites
  • Implement procurement strategy for the business unit
  • Build or support local procurement strategy with objectives and key results
  • Develop/execute buying strategies with the alignment of Unilever global procurement functions
  • Negotiate to buy smartly and competitively
  • Identify/activate alternative suppliers and unlock localization opportunities
  • Continuously explore and analyze saving opportunities to generate value
  • Monitor market trends and compile best pricing estimate for the business
  • Ensure the superior availability of material supply
  • Drive procurement sustainability agenda in the business unit
  • Develop strong relationship with suppliers & improve their service and quality
  • Ensure responsible sourcing compliance of suppliers
  • Be the face and voice of Procurement for the business unit

Knowledge / Skills

-             Minimum Bachelor's Degree required

-             Minimum 3 years of experience required in Procurement

-             Excellent communication skills

-             Strong business acumen

-             Ability to work in a fast paced, high change environment

-             Analytical thinking and proven ability to solve problems and sustain results through a data driven process

-             Fluency in English and Turkish

-             Negotiation & commercial skills

-             Managing complexity of Materials

-             Working with multi - interface skills

-             Efficient Time management – Multi/tasking

-             Able to work with a variety of IT systems and have a strong knowledge of MS Office
