Background & Purpose of the Job

North America is a critical cluster for the category and brand, with US the number one priority. In the next few years, we have an exciting agenda to accelerate the brand trajectory behind both our purpose and our incredible products. Who You Are & What You'll Do

  • This role is special in that it represents one of the more end to end roles interfacing with the global & NA team.

  • As the Global Innovation ABM of Degree US, you will work alongside the Global Innovation Manager for the US and the Global Innovation Team and will be instrumental in evolving Degree to a truly iconic brand.

  • This role will be responsible for leading and delivering the innovation agenda, intensifying the funnel to address white space opportunities and deliver against channel and customer priorities in the US.

  • You will work closely with the cross functional innovation planning team to drive the roadmap from idea to implementation knowing when/how to influence global and local activities to drive business growth.

  • We are looking for a highly driven, passionate individual with strong bias for action who is looking for a big challenge. The self-starter will be able to help set the vision and pace of achievement for leading consumer first innovation.

Who You Are & What You’ll Do

The Associate Brand Manager, Innovation will need to bring dynamic attitude and passion to:

  • Evolving Brand Proposition & Architecture

  • Defining Innovation Strategic Pillars & White Spaces

  • Designing and Crafting Innovation U.S. Big Bets, including concept, design, product, pack, and full mix development

  • Bring a mindset of sustainability into product design and development.

Specifically, Associate Brand Manager, Innovation will:

  • Ensure Global Innovation Plans are designed to Win in the US

    • Work Closely with the Brand Manager to feed in thoughts & insights into the US strategy.

  • Serve as project lead deploying and amplifying global innovations in the US

    • Working on end-to-end projects.

  • Work closely with Performance teams and Customer teams to drive Design 4 Channel Innovations.

  • Work closely with Consumer Market Insights and their People Data Center to identify core consumer insights and product benefits.

Depending on team workload & agenda and according to Agile principles, this role might carry some Engagement Development (Communication assets…) in the future.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field required; Master’s degree preferred with 3+ years in Marketing, with some experience in Innovation Crafting.

  • Personal Care Experience working in the US and ideally global team

  • A huge drive & passion specifically working with cross functional partners.

  • A balance of strategic, analytical, creative and outstanding project leading and collaborative skills.

  • Demonstrate high performance in project leadership.

  • Proven record of drive and initiative with outstanding interpersonal & communication skills.


  • A well-informed Beauty “gut” coupled with an eye for aesthetic, design and attention for details.

  • A Passion for Consumers and Shopper Understanding.

  • A balance of art & science – ability to think creatively & strategically, with strong business mindset.

  • A Problem-Solving mindset and willingness to challenge the established norms.

  • Comfortable with using data throughout aspects of the role, turning consumer and social insights into strategic thinking.

  • Passion for big iconic brands and desire to leave a mark.

Pay: The pay range for this position is $xx,000 - $xx,000. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.

Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
