Main purpose of the internship:

When joining Unilever in Belgium, you will get the opportunity to have an impact on a leading-edge company and our outstanding brands. During this internship you will get real responsibilities that will provide you with a good insight into the organisation and support your personal development.

As a digital marketing intern, you will be responsible for helping to develop the marketing plans and attract customers by creating and delivering valuable content and experiences tailored to them.

Your key responsibilities and accountabilities could be (amongst others):

  • Help the operator marketeers to execute the business plans. Your task will be to do data analysis, customer research & visits, make presentations, …
  • Website performance analysis leading to recommendations on how to improve current statuses
  • Co-creating, building, and analysing campaigns and journeys with the marketing teams to increase conversions through the sales and marketing funnel
  • Copywriting: translate brochures, writing newsletters, set-up social media posts on different platforms
  • Creating banners & visuals in Canva, re-sizing of visuals
  • Setting up experiments to support the organisation in transforming the business as we knew it
  • Helps with measuring & optimizing all online content to drive more traffic or boost engagement of end of year campaigns
  • Playing an important role in supporting the digital marketeers and data team with some key transformation projects

What we ask:

  • You are available starting September/October 2023
  • You must be enrolled as a Bachelor or Master student from a University, Business School or equivalent during the entire internship.
  • You are available for a minimum of 3 months and ideally for 6 months (at least 32 hours a week).
  • You are fluent in English + Dutch or French.
  • You have very good notions of the main social media platforms.
  • You have a good understanding of Google Analytics and general digital marketing concepts (digital data, email marketing, e-commerce, SEO, SEA, owned and paid advertising).
  • You are a team player with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • You are a self-starter, able to work autonomously.
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and feel comfortable with data analysis and data strategy (capture and leverage).
  • You are able to work with a diversity of people and teams.
  • You are familiar with MS office tools in particular Excel and Powerpoint.
